Wins, Whispers, and the Race to Dubai.

Not a huge week to report upon in the world of golf; however, it was significant and joyous for some.

First up, on the PGA Tour, we saw a brilliant performance from American Michael Brennan. He clinched his third PGA Tour victory in just 33 starts, winning the Baycurrent Classic at the Yokohama Country Club in Japan. A stellar final round left him on 16 under par. This guy is proving he’s a force to be reckoned with, and doing it fast!

Over on the DP World Tour, we witnessed a truly fantastic and emotional win for Scotsman Grant Forrest. He secured his first DP World Tour victory at the Open de España in Madrid. Coming off the back of four missed cuts, this is the kind of resilience we love to see! He finished on 14 under par, and the win comes with some incredible perks: an invitation to the 2027 US Masters and a spot at the 155th Open Championship at St Andrews. What a moment for him, and so thoroughly deserved.

The fact that Jon Rahm’s future playing plans made it into the media space this week shows what a slow week it was for meaningful golf stories. Bottom line: does anyone other than Jon Rahm’s management company actually care?

The Race to Dubai is nearing its completion — Rory or Patrick? Who’s it gonna be?

That’s all from me. Have a great week, hit them straight and true, and send them to the bottom of the cup! Enjoy the Walk!
