A Three Horse Race.

Let’s start on the DP World Tour. Eugenio Chacarra claimed his third win of the season with an impressive display in Delhi at the DP World India Championship. He finished 21-under, two shots clear of runner-up Daniel Hillier, whose gritty final-round 67 further enhanced his chances of securing a PGA Tour card for next season. Hillier missed out last year by just two spots—that hurt—but he’s using that disappointment as fuel this time. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and Dan is playing with admirable grit and determination.

Three tournaments remain on the 2026 DP World Tour schedule before the Race to Dubai champion can be crowned. Last week I thought it was between two when I asked, “Who’s it gonna be, Patrick or Rory?” Then boom—one week later there’s another horse in the fray. With this win in India, Eugenio Chacarra has nudged himself to the top of the standings. He’s now the man Patrick and Rory must reel in and overtake, which should make for a really exciting finish. Rory is aiming to equal Colin Montgomerie’s record number of Race to Dubai/Order of Merit titles, but I think he’ll need to find a win to stand a chance. I’m not counting him out just yet—champions have a knack of finding a way.

On the LPGA, Yin Ruoning won the Buick LPGA Championship in Shanghai for the second time, carding a final-round 68 to edge Choi Hye-jin by one shot at 11-under. It was Yin’s seventh LPGA title and her second in Shanghai, having previously won the event in 2024.

Enjoy the Walk!
