The Land of the Rising Sun Doubles Up in Korea.
Folks, Korea proved a happy hunting ground this week — and it was the Land of the Rising Sun doing the hunting.
On the DP World Tour, Yuto Katsuragawa claimed his second DP World Tour title at the Genesis Championship at Woo Jeong Hills CC in Cheonan, South Korea. The 28-year-old closed with a final-round even-par 71 to finish -13, two shots clear of Frenchmen Frederic Lacroix and Martin Couvra, who shared second on -11. Open champion Ryan Fox was in a seven-way tie for fourth on -10, while New Zealand’s Dan Hillier tightened his grip on securing a USPGA Tour card with another solid week, finishing a shot further back on -9.
The DP World Tour now heads to the United Arab Emirates for the final two tournaments that will determine the Race to Dubai champion for 2026. The Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship at Yas Links tees off on 5 November, so the players have a week off to recharge and prepare for the season’s climax.
Over on the LPGA, Japan doubled up. World No. 84 Yuri Yoshida shot a final-round 68 to finish -17 at the BMW Ladies Championship at Pine Beach Golf Links, a shot clear of Hye-Jin Choi and Haeran Ryu.
In other news, Tyrrell Hatton is the latest big name to bail out of LIV 2.0. Hatton will play the DP World Tour next year.
Enjoy the Walk!
