Scotty Strolls to Second FedEx Cup Title.

What a procession that was at East Lake. Scottie Scheffler, the World Number One, simply refused to let anyone else have a look in as he cruised to his second FedEx Cup victory, finishing on 16-under-par after a clinical final-round 66.

Let’s be honest, was it thrilling? Not particularly. Viktor Hovland started the final day with a one-shot lead, with Scheffler three shots back, but Scottie quickly hunted him down. 

Hovland put up a fight to finish second and bag a cool $5 million USD, but he was ultimately playing catch-up to a man who just doesn’t make mistakes when he’s in this mood.

This win takes Scheffler past Tiger Woods on the PGA Tour’s all-time career money earnings list. I know inflation plays a part in that stat, but it highlights the sheer weight of his consistency. It’s been a frustrating year in the majors for Scottie—he didn’t add to his tally in 2026—but the fact he remains so far ahead at World Number One and now has two FedEx Cups, joining Tiger and Rory, tells you everything about his level.

And perhaps that’s the problem. It is boring in the sense that there’s no jeopardy. The Tour Championship format was changed to create more drama, but when you have the best player in the world capable of turning a three-shot deficit into a comfortable victory, it’s like watching a Formula 1 race where the fastest car simply drives off into the sunset.

At least there was plenty to admire visually. That iconic mock Tudor clubhouse behind the 18th green looked glorious as always against the Atlanta skyline.

So, Scheffler joins the exclusive club of multiple FedEx Cup winners. He’s earned it. He’s been the best player on the planet by a mile, and this week at East Lake was just the final confirmation.
